The 2020 Ford Fusion has a lean and clean body for a mid-sized sedan. The sweeping roof and elegant grille are the key highlights on the exterior. The standard trunk size is 16 cubic feet; however, in the Energi and hybrid model, the size decreases to 8.2 cubic feet and 12 cubic feet respectively due to the batteries. 

The sloping roof offers 37.8 inches headroom in the second row. Coming to the front seats, they are comfortable and feature lumbar adjustments. The standard engine on the 2020 Ford Fusion is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that generates 175 horsepower along with the front-wheel-drive and six-speed automatic drive. The latter is present throughout the models that are powered by gasoline. 

The upper trims come with the option of a four-cylinder that generates 245-hp turbocharged and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder with the 181-turbocharged engine. 

If you want, you can integrate the 2.0-liter engine with all-wheel drive. Moreover, the Sport trim comes with a 2.7-liter V-6 engine with 325-hp twin-turbo and all-wheel drive.

The Hybrid model features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with continuously variable automatic transmission and a motor that produces 195 horsepower. You will also find a plug-in hybrid that packs the same powertrain. However, it has a larger battery pack. 

On the whole, the Ford Fusion offers agile handling that offers an engaging driving experience. It has a light and comfortable steering and soft suspension. Fusions that are powered by gas also offer nimble and responsive steering.

The base model offers fuel efficiency of 21 mpg in the city, 31 mpg in the highway and an overall average of 25 mpg. Moreover, the 2.0-litre turbo trims offer a fuel economy of 21/31/25 mpg. 

Infotainment System 

The S model comes with SYNC interface featuring a 4.2-inch LCD, as well as voice-activation. The higher trims come with SYNC 3, which has a standard on all upper trims featuring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio and two USB ports. The base models’ standard sound system comes with four speakers, whereas SE has six speakers. The Titanium also features voice-activated navigation.
