July Events to Attend Around Nicholasville, KY

Many of us have probably had to stay inside for the better part of 2020 so far due to COVID-19, but with Summer finally arriving and restrictions being pulled back in many states, there will be tons of people eager to get some fresh air and enjoy some fun activities. With Lexington, KY so close by to Nicholasville, there’s always something fun to do! Below are some suggestions for fun events to attend in July. 

July 3rd & 4th - Fourth of July Festival

Celebrate the country’s birthday with the annual Fourth of July festival in downtown Lexington! There will be tons to do for you and the family, including a street festival, concerts, delicious vendors, an ice-cream eating contest and even a parade to celebrate America’s 244th birthday. This event is free to the public and is happening all July 4th weekend.

July 11th & 12th - Athens Schoolhouse Antique Show

Come ready to leave with something that will spruce up your house at central Kentucky’s largest weekend marketplace, the Athens Schoolhouse Antique Show. The monthly antique show is back and will have decorative, classic items such as vintage indoor and outdoor furniture, unique decor, dining sets, vintage games, art, pottery, linens, and so much more. If you have a creative design mind and you’re looking for that last piece to make your home complete, there’s no better place in the area to find what you need. 

To keep everyone as safe as possible with COVID-19, the Athens Schoolhouse Antique Show does require you to wear a mask and to maintain social distancing and will have many hand-sanitizing stations set up for easy access.
