The 2020 Ford Bronco: Everything You Should Know About the New SUV

The Ford Bronco is a highly anticipated vehicle, set to make its debut next year. The original Bronco was a highly popular SUV and was produced from the 1960s until the 1990s. The company is bringing the Bronco back and it is slated for release in the spring of 2020. Here’s everything you need to know about the new 2020 Ford Bronco!

It Is Expected To Arrive In Spring 2020

At the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, Ford had announced the Ranger would be launched in 2019 and the Bronco was slated for release in 2020. The company hasn't announced any official date for the Bronco launch and it is expected to arrive in spring 2020. Ford might choose the New York Auto Show in April 2020 as a launchpad to unveil the 2020 Ford Bronco. There’s also the chance that the company might organize a standalone event to finally show the 2020 Bronco to the world.

You Might See a Pickup Variant

One of the closest competitors of Ford is Jeep. The company might introduce a Bronco variant with a truck bed to compete directly with the Jeep Gladiator. Hence, you might get a pickup variant of the 2020 Ford Bronco. However, this is only a speculation as the company is already offering the Ranger and you might have to wait for an official announcement of the pickup variant.

The Bronco Will Be a Full-Size SUV

According to a news leak, the model shown to the Ford dealers was a two-door SUV. Though nothing has been officially said, there are rumors Ford has ruled out two-door SUV. There is the chance the company might offer a smaller variant of the Bronco and call it the Bronco Sport. In most cases, the vehicle would a full-size SUV with five doors.

It Might Have Removable Roof and Doors

One of the newest design features expected in the 2020 Bronco is the introduction of removable rood and doors. According to a news report, the new SUV will have a removable hardtop roof and doors that can be removed and stored in the trunk. The mirrors will not be installed on the doors and instead mounted on the A-pillars of the body frame. This will eradicate the problem of driving without mirrors with doors removed. The company might provide a soft-top or mesh-cover when the hardtop is removed.

It May a Share Drivetrain with the Ranger

Ford has a variety of engines that could be dropped in the 2020 Bronco. According to industry experts, the new SUV will share a drivetrain with Ranger.  If that is true, the 2020 Ford Bronco would be powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four engine making 270 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque.

The comeback of such an iconic name has sparked interest in the market. Rumors and news leaks have teased the automotive industry with the possible specifications of Bronco. Ford is expected to put in all its efforts to launch the 2020 Ford Bronco with all the bells and whistles and make sure the new SUV makes a unique place for itself in the already crowded SUV category.
